Tony, thanks for your message.

When I decided to go for about four months here, it´s really a problem to find information. You know, there´re so many countries in South America, it´s difficult to plan the route. But things get more easily with the travelling bible, Lonely Planet(Shoestring to South America). And you can even get a chinese version of this book (newly published in 2008) in some simplified-chinese bookstores in Mongkok.

During the trip, we also visit the forum of www.lonelyplanet.com frequently to get updated news from other tourists. It´s really helpful espeically when we are looking for hostals or tours.

Hope this can help and if you want more info about the countries i visited, you are very welcomed to email me at any time.

Hi, Tony,

Yes, budget thing is really a big issue for this trip. The flight already costed me about $15,000, for taking the cheapest airline, Delta. And we planned to spend around HK$55,000 in 4.5 months here.

And if you are not in a hurry, I can make you a list of how much we spend in each country after the trip. Are you going to come here soon?

Yes, i love to take photos as well, i love the red walls of the monastery in Peru. If you have time, you are welcome to visit my photo album and i uploaded more photos on it.

Any questions, pls feel free to leave me message here or send me email: janice_cwy@hotmail.com

=)
